Burt`s Deli in Libertyville

I've been coming to Bert's for probably 30+ years. I do notnthink the menu has changed much in that time - but very consistent quality. I do not live locally, so my visits are sparse. Love the Yummy!

Burt's Deli was a wonderful experience the customer service to the hometown feel. It is a must eat and I now know why it is Chicago's best. I highly recommend

Great atmosphere! Better food!!!

"Please sir, may I have some more?" Man this place is cool. First of all, the food is AWESOME. Super top quality meats make for delicious sandwiches. Second, the staff is hilarious. Especially Ralph. Although I have a sneaking suspicion he thinks he might be just a tad funnier than he is! But man o' man can Ralph make a sandwich. And third, what a great throw back to the old days. Little Jewish deli in a cool dive location with all the fixings and desserts. I mean you simply can not go wrong, I can't wait to go back again and again.

Friendly atmosphere and owner very very nice to me. I there to eat or bring sandwiches back home. Everything is very clean and neat. Sometimes the manager offer you a little sample while you wait. I can say is place to buy sandwiches if you the area. I brought my friends and family there. They love the food too. Rate it A.

On vacation, visiting family and friends. Found this deli through Google and decided to stop in for a sandwich. Best sandwiches I've had in a decade! Ordered The Yummie and was not disappointed. The perfect amount of hot pastrami and corned beef topped with melted Swiss cheese, mustard, and a smear of horse radish. Price is just right for the food. It'll set you back about $15 with a drink but every bite is bliss. I'll be back here when I come back next year.

The "Yummy" is amazing!

This restaurant has extraordinary service as well as yummy meals. One of my favourite restaurants around here. The food came out quickly and the rates were economical. Will definitely recommend this restaurant.

I highly recommend this place. It does seem just a little bit higher priced than other places but they definitely stuff your meals full of meat so it’s definitely worth the money. Whereas most places seem to be making sandwiches smaller and smaller, Burt’s Deli’s sandwiches are far from small. They definitely give you great quality food and they prepare their food in front of you so you can see how far along it is and know they’re doing it right. The workers are very friendly and actually care about how you’re enjoying your meal. They definitely impressed me and I definitely will come back and recommend everybody to visit.

My co-workers and I came in for lunch today and we were very happy with our meals. I had their signature sandwich, "The Yummy", and I was extremely impressed. The meat was top quality, the bread was fresh, and the toppings were great as well. The woman at the counter was incredibly kind, generous, and accommodating. Do yourself a favor and go here asap!

The Yummie was awesome!! I definitely agree with other reviews that state the sandwich is pricey, but worth it. The owner was welcoming and funny. He gave samples of the meat before purchase. I will visit again.

I've been going here since 1981 and the food has been consistently excellent the whole time. A wonderful no stress, friendly environment with excellent service. I highly recommend the yummy sandwiches!!

Just discovered this place, I thought it was exactly what I'd been looking for, a small actual Deli with piled meat sandwiches great people who actually know what a Pastrami on Rye is. Until I paid $13 for it. It was a great sandwich for $9 or even $10. Unfortunately it will be rarely that I splurge for a sandwich.

You cannot go wrong eating at a real Chicago style deli. Burt's is the real thing. Hot corned beef, Awesome Matzo ball soup like bubby use to make. Try thr Yummy!

Worth every penny. A true classic experience from two generations of Savage upkeep with tradition. The Owner and wife were the most genuine people I have met and done business with in YEARS!!!! The food was on point! DELICIOUS 😋. If you want a comparable sandwich, you better have a time machine and know how to get to Carnegie Deli in the 40's

The man who owns this is so kind everytime we come here! And what kid doesn't love a free pickle. Be careful of the horseradish its amazing but HOT
